Winter Fun

Winter here in Wisconsin is hanging on strong. We just got another foot of snow in the last week or so, and there is news about the outdoor ice skating rinks opening up again. I love snow as long as it's fresh and white. The lack of shoveling also helps :)
The boys and I headed over to the Lee's last weekend to get out on the lake and enjoy the scenery. Growing up in the South, the idea of walking on a lake in the winter is completely foreign to me. Still, after living in Wisconsin for seven years, it is a really strange idea to me. It's so neat to just have a vast amount of area that you can just walk, ski, and sled on. We left the ice fishing to the professionals, but we could see a whole flock of shantys set up across the lake. One day, I'll have my ice fishing experience.
On Wednesday, Daniel worked on a little snowman and some snow painting with Peggy. He gets to spend Wednesday afternoons with her this year. They are always doing fun activities together. I love it when I get pictures! She manages to capture more faces than I ever do.
