Winter Fun

Winter here in Wisconsin is hanging on strong. We just got another foot of snow in the last week or so, and there is news about the outdoor ice skating rinks opening up again. I love snow as long as it's fresh and white. The lack of shoveling also helps :)
The boys and I headed over to the Lee's last weekend to get out on the lake and enjoy the scenery. Growing up in the South, the idea of walking on a lake in the winter is completely foreign to me. Still, after living in Wisconsin for seven years, it is a really strange idea to me. It's so neat to just have a vast amount of area that you can just walk, ski, and sled on. We left the ice fishing to the professionals, but we could see a whole flock of shantys set up across the lake. One day, I'll have my ice fishing experience.
On Wednesday, Daniel worked on a little snowman and some snow painting with Peggy. He gets to spend Wednesday afternoons with her this year. They are always doing fun activities together. I love it when I get pictures! She manages to capture more faces than I ever do.

Disney 2013

We bit the bullet and headed to Disney a couple weeks ago. It was a really fun vacation for everyone. My parents came and joined us for the first part of the week, and Matt made it down for the second part of the week. Having three adults and two kids was the way to go. The boys loved the simple small stuff the best like the carousel, It's a Small World, Winnie the Pooh, all the playground areas - Tom Sawyer's Island, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and The Boneyard. We only took the boys on a handful of rides that they found terrifying. Oh well, they seemed to survive. Christopher hid in my Dad's hat for most of the It's Tough to be a Bug show. We made it to all four parks during the week. There is so much to say about the week, but too little time to get it all down right now. You will have to accept the story in pictures instead. Sorry that the last two pics ended up first.

Everyone is ready to go home.
All tuckered out!
"Mom, is this the sleeping plane?" - Yes - being stripping right then and there.
Lovely weather at the Magic Kingdon.
Christopher's favorite perch.
Winnie the Pooh was a favorite!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
"Gigi, I would love to pose, but there is something cool over there. Let's keep moving."
Some of us enjoyed the parades more than others.
Kilamanjaro Safari's
Drummer boy.
I could stay here all day.
We were not so good at posing for pictures.
Four people and four faces!
Before our wonderful character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Delicious!

Too bad Daniel was not 100% this day :(
Epcot day!
Hollywood Studios on their perches.
Loving the playground.

The Disney Junior show was a favorite of Christopher's.
We got a little shower while waiting for the Fantasmic show. The boys thought it was heaven.

Every stilted character in the parade stopped to talk to Christopher. He was a little unsure about the situation.

Free treats!
